  • Need your advice MCSE 2003 +Upgrade

Recently I finished my MCSE 2003 Certification. The list of exams that I passed is:
    270,290,291,293,294,284,297.

This summer I am going to do CCNA, but till then I have the opportunity to make every certification that I want because my company is paying for it.

What additional certification can I do related to my passed exams?

What do YOU want to do in IT? What path do YOU want to go down? No point doing a CCNA unless you are going to have some use for it now or in the future.
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

You can upgrade your MCSE to Messaging (Exchange) or Security
        Both take two exams:
Messaging: 70-284 and the exchange design exam
Security: 70-299 (general security) or ISA server or CompTIA Security+, also a design exam
If you dont already have the MCSA, you could probably get it with one carefully chosen exam, but most likely you do.

I already have 70-284, and I have MCSA messaging
You said exchange design team , correct me if I wrong this is 70-285 right?

Sorry, not what I meant. Do not take certifications just because you can. Have a reason for taking them.....plan for the future. Otherwise you will have a string of certs to put after your name and very little room for your PhD.

Also, I think you might mean ISA Server. Wrong vowel?

I would just stick with certs that you are actually interested in. No point (IMHO) doing a cert for something that you have no interest in. It would make passing the cert and maintaining you knowledge on that cert quite difficult.

              Just my opinion.

                Hello kauf,
Did you pass the 291 on the first try? Also you are probably familiar with large TCP/IP networks, right?

                Thanks

291 is a bear from what I heard. I took 292 which was the upgrade exam which is 290 and 291 combined.
