Need your advice to become MCSA 2003

    Hi there

I got my MCSA 2000 and MCDST this year. I have passed the following exams so far:

    70-210
    70-214
    70-215
    70-218
    70-235
    70-271
    70-272
    70-284
    COMPTAIA A+, NETWORK +, SECURITY +

I have failed 70-292 2 times, if I want to upgrade my skills to Windows Server 2003, should I prepare & study 70-290 and 70-291 instead ?

    Please kinldy advise

    Hello Friend,

292 is no doubt a hard exam and diffcult to pass just read the microsoft books and you should be OK...What I realised when i write my exams is that you have to think the microsoft way.

Pay attention to your weak areas, but what i found the exam when i wrote it a year ago there were a lot of scenario questions and keep an eye of detail on them and rest were free give aways as well. I got 980 on the exam.

I look forward to new round of certifications as Vista is out and now focus on them.

I am already a MCSE, MCSA 2003 - MESSAGING SPECIALIST.

Please clear your concepts before you go and write your exam and a day before yoru exam just chill and d please do not do the last minute cramming..if you need any help just drop me a line at [email protected]. I will try to help to the best of my ability.

    Cheers

    Hi Gomcse2002,
Can I ask, how close did you come to passing 292, and which areas let you down?

It has been discussed before that 292 is a hard exam, so you might find it worthwhile studying for 290/291 instead. You obviously have experience and knowledge of Microsoft products, but are you working with Server 2003 on a regular basis?

Its going to be difficult to tell you exactly what to do, but IMHO you may be better going for the two exams. Good Luck!

    Tom
