  • CCNA NAT lab - please help !!

    Hi guys,

i am preparing for my CCNA in early January. I am trying the following commands to do a NAT lab but it is not working.

    Border Router using NAT: R2

    ip nat pool NAT_POOL 209.165.201.9 209.165.201.14 netmask 255.255.255.248
ip nat inside source list NAT_ACL pool NAT_POOL overload

    ip access-list standard NAT_ACL
    permit 172.16.10.0 0.0.0.255
    permit 172.16.11.0 0.0.0.255

    Outside Router: ISP

209.165.201.0/24 is variably subnetted, 2 subnets, 2 masks
    S 209.165.201.0/29 is directly connected, Serial0/0/1
    C 209.165.201.0/30 is directly connected, Serial0/0/1

I have already figured out that ISP could not find the 209.165.201.0/29 network though it is in the routing table. For testing, i have added a default static route to the ISP's route table and it solved the problem.

Can anyone please suggest what am i doing wrong here ? i have attached the packet tracer file for your info.

    Thanks in advance
